Drahim Castle (ZDP05 for the "Castles In Poland")
Mid August 2009 we organized so called ‘after work' (‘after work' means late afternoon, after working hours) expedition to Drahim Castle . It is located about 70 km North-West from our QTH Pila, in small village Stare Drawsko (N-W part of Poland ). The castle is situated in strategic location on an artificial hillock between two lakes. At present there are remains of outer walls and few bricks of inner walls. The castle is popular destination and stoppage place for people travelling from central part of Poland towards Baltic Sea .
We went there with our standard equipment: dipole for 80m and FT840. The dipole was hung between 2 trees, FT840 was powered from car battery. During about 1hour lasting activity we conducted 20 QSOs. We were visited by Bogdan SP3LRL, who was travelling with his family from Baltic Sea to his home.

Grocholin Castle (PNA03 for the "Castles In Poland")
Late October 2009 we organized another ‘after work’ (‘after work’ means late afternoon, after working hours) castle expedition. Our destination was small castle in Grocholin, about 60 km East from our QTH Pila. Actually it isn’t real castle but kind of fortified manor-house. It has been nicely renovated. There are various events organized in this place, like wedding parties, conventions, Late October is colorful period of the year in Poland, so we could admire picturesque carpets of beech leaves.
