"Fortresses and forts of Poland" Award


Award "Fortresses and forts of Poland" - (Twierdze i Forty w Polcse) is aimed at encouraging people to study of Polish fortification history as well as visiting historical sites and carrying out ham activity from them.

Award "Fortresses and forts of Poland" is an extension of "Castles of Poland " (Zamki w Polsce) Award.

The Award is given to any licensed radio-amateur or SWL for QSO / SWL with stations working from objects put on the list of fortresses and forts.

No any restrictions on bands and modes. QSO through repeaters also are valid.

The Award includes two kinds of certificates:

  • Siege Award: for QSO / SWL with stations working from fortresses and forts;
  • Fortification Award: for operators who working from fortresses and forts (activators).

Both certificates have 6 classes:

A higher class of diploma is obtained by adding "Immortal" endorsement.

The Award of class "Private" is obligatory. To obtain higher class of the Award You need not to obtain lower class.

Application for the Award is based on the received QSL cards in paper or electronic (eQSL) view. No QSLs, only certified application is required. The Award manager can require QSL for check.

The charges for certificates are as follow:

  • for members of PZK - 10 PLN ;
  • for other Polish stations - 15 PLN;
  • for stations outside Poland - 10 € or 10 IRC;
  • high class of the Award seal for Polish stations - 13 PLN;
  • high class of the Award seal for stations outside Poland - 7 € or 7 IRC.
