"Western Swiss Castles" Award (DCSR) is created to introduce radiohams with architecture of the Western Swiss Castles and their role in history. The award is issued for activation of castles, QSO and SWL with radiostations working from castles of Western Switzerland. QSO and SWL with castles which have number according to DCS-SSD list and located in cantons of the western Switzerland (BE, FR, GE, JU, NE, VD, VS) since November, 19th, 2005 are valid. Only numbers of castles what presented in DCS-SSD list are valid. Number of castle consists of award abbreviation (DCS-SSD), canton abbreviation (BE, FR, GE, JU, NE, VD, VS ) and current nomber, e.g. DCS-BE-002. For obtaining the Award the applicant will have to: Contacts on any bands and any modes are valid. MIXED mode is valid too. The award can be issued for separate band and/or mode. The award can be sent by e-mail in PDF-format or by post in A4-format (297õ210 mm). Postage is 6 CHF or 4ˆ or equivalent in IRC. Payment by the Swiss post stamps is accepted. Applications in electronic format must be in one format: txt, osv, xls or ADIF. No QSLs, only certified application is required. The award manager can require LOG and QSLs for check.
