"Czech Castles" Award is given to any amateur radio operator or SWL who can provide confirmation of contacts with (or reports from) radiostations operating from castles and fortresses located in Czech Republic. The Award is issued in two basic groups and three categories into each group. Groups: TRAVELLER (works from the castle location) For inclusion of the castle is need to score at least 20 points (regardless of mode) during 24 hours. If there are more castles in the location is need to score at least 20 points on each object. STATIC (works from its home QTH) Any QSO with station working from castle are valid. If there are some castle in home QTH location then station can work in any category. Category: CW, SSB, Mixed Points: SSB – 1 point; SSB between castles – 2 points; CW – 2 points; CW between two castles– 3 points; with Doubravka castle (US 111) – 6 points (regardless of category or mode). Basic award in any (TRAVELLER or STATIC) group is issued for QSO/SWL with 10 castles (fortresses). Labels for QSO/SWL with 30, 70 and 100 castles (fortresses). Bronze label for QSO/SWL with 130 castles (fortresses). Silver label for QSO/SWL with 160 castles (fortresses). Gold label for QSO/SWL with 200 castles (fortresses). Award fee is 5€ or 6 USD, each label is 2€ or 3 USD.
